What’s up! This is Jessica Dooley and this is my weblog, welcome!  I have designed and developed ByteMyPixel as a combination of: my learning ExpressionEngine, my portfolio, and my passion for sharing knowledge and resources.  With this I hope to learn, grow and prosper, and have fun doing so!

I have over 6 years of experience in website design and development, and am currently working full-time developing websites for a hospitality solutions company in Denver, Colorado.  I absolutely love my career, and with that I love the dynamics of sharing and learning from people inside and outside of the industry.

My other passions included but are not limited to, being a great Mom, music, movies, fine art, shoes, fashion, history, and coffee table books!

I’m here to do my part in keeping the internet standards compliant, which ultimately will “help to reduce the costs and complexity of web development,” and bring all internet technologies to a compatible stability.  Focusing my development on reasonable functionality, and designing for the future with Web 2.0 capabilities.  Valid (X)HTML and semantic markup are a major focus for me.  I feel very privileged to be taking a part in this industry, which is likely the most immortal industry ever to be in existence.  With this in mind, I know it is my responsibility to keep learning, keep growing, and share the things that I have learned.  It’s my goal to accomplish some of this through ByteMyPixel, to learn, grow, and share.
